I looked att he listing for the Williamsburg runs in Sept.
I really wanted to do the Oly/ International, but don't see a listing for it.
I missed last years race due to a death  in the family and this was going to be my "A" race.
Anyone have any information on it?

Thanks
Verga

Bad news is they are not having the Oly distance this year. The good news is there is a new oly in Hampton Roads I think. Also the Richmond Rocketts Landing Oly date has been changed to July if you want to try that one. I am planning to do that one myself.

Dano
Thanks for the info.
One more question, The Patriots Half liost the swim as 1300+, a true half is 2112,
Could I count this one as a half if I decide to do it?

When I go the the Setup Events page it says that the swim is 1.2 miles like a half is suppose to be. Here is a quote "Swim: The swim course is a 1.2 mile rectangular course in the brackish James River." Are you sure you are looking at the right info? So you are going to skip the Oly and just go right to a half IM. You are the man! I am hoping to due an Oly this year since my plans for one last year were foiled by injury. Probably the Rocketts Landing in July or Acorn in Oct. Hope to see you at the Powersprint.

On the "Races" Tab it listed it as 1312, but on the setup website it says 1.2, they must have used the template from last years Oly and didn't change that.

Right now there are two things limiting me:
1) My Bike is aboput 25 years old and weighs a ton
2) The run. I did a mile for the first time since my injury yesterday. I am still dead slow, but I had no pain or discomfort at all.

My swim is slow, but I am up to 1200 in the pool, and soon I will be able to hit the quarry for some OWS. I got a shorty wetsuit last year and it really helped a lot.

Looking forward to seeing you at the Power sprint.

I did the PAtriot HAlf last year for my first and it was very enjoyable. Now let me preface this by saying that all of my training was on the course.  I only live about 5 min from the JAmes. The run was on the bike path so it was almost flat. The bike course was a tad hilly but nothing to hard. The swim sucked beacuse I got way of course due to the sun in my eyes. They had us go with the current but it pulled us a bit away from the shore. I am very slow and only did one OLY (if you want to call it that) the year before when the swim got cancelled and they made us run twice. The good thing about the PAtriot is that you have PLENTY of time to train.

I just contacted them. they said I can sign up for the Sprint and move up if the training goes well and there is room.
I did 1400 in the pool today (dead slow) but all else is going well.
