None
Swim
  • 34m 38s
  • 2100 yards
  • 01m 39s / 100 yards
Comments:

Bad swim- slow, horrible navigation, overswam the turnaround (due to the worng race instructions!)
What would you do differently?:

Swim in a straight line!
Transition 1
  • 04m 23s
Comments:

Took my time- wanted to get it right and not get my HR to high
What would you do differently?:

Sunscreen on T1
Bike
  • 3h 11m 59s
  • 56 miles
  • 17.50 mile/hr
Comments:

Was pleased with my bike, lower back and neck hurt from crappy night sleep but overall really enjoyed the bike leg.
What would you do differently?:

Bring my own pillows becuase the hotel ones sucked!
Transition 2
  • 04m 44s
Comments:

Took my time again, put on sunscreen, stopped and watched Natasha Baddman run down finish shute!
What would you do differently?:

Have some cold water over my head!
Run
  • 2h 34m 21s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 11m 47s  min/mile
Comments:

Walked the first 2.5 miles trying to get HR down to 130-140 range. Decided early to not "race" the run and take my time and stay cool, since the sun and heat are my achiles heel. Looking at it a day later, I think this was the right move, because no migrain or none of the other problems I normally get from over sun exposure.
What would you do differently?:

Run more in hot weather to acclimate (if mother nature allows).
Post race
Warm down:

drank water, ate pasta, stretched while watching the rest of the group finish

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Sun and heat

Event comments:

Volunteers were great, saw a lot of people drafting on the bike, and the diesel fumes from the jet-ski on the swim was no good. Also, race instructions on swim were wrong.
