If you search the race calendar you can find reviews of races. There are a few threads already floating around re: that one as well.

I did check the race calendar and as far as I can tell there are no race reviews for the Bigfoot Triathlon (although I'm sure that you will correct me if I'm wrong).

I did read a number of threads and I saw that a few people had limited things to say about this particular race. I was hoping for something a little more thorough.

But thanks for taking the time to post an entirely unhelpful reply.

All right. You stay classy, jtad.

Here's 15 race reviews:

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/directory/link-detail....

And here's 14 more about the sprint:

I know. It's very limited.

I was going to say to check out my race report...I think mine goes into detail...as do some of the others from last year....If you are wondering for this year, there is another race the same day, Pleasant Prairie which personally, I think is a WAY better run race, and it's a nice course too!! But that's just my opinion from having done both.

Personally, I LOVE this race...the bike is great, and the run is a trail run, a bit challenging but great! Very well run since taken over by "running away sports" a couple of years ago.

That said, Pleasant Prairie is great also. I do BOTH of these races (until this year when they are the same weekend). Pleasant Prairie is a bit more expensive.

oooops, edit...Bigfoot is the 27th and Pleasant Prairie the 26th...early early PP is 85.00, then up to 99...then up again.
                                                                                                               early BF is 99.00

could be a great two race weekend!!

This is the race that Robert signed us up for that would have started our triathlon lives, but we ended up doing 2 before this one.  He signed us up for the olympic and we had never done a sprint before.  I really enjoyed this race.  The swim was good - along the shore -- out and back.  The bike was relatively easy.  The run was a little challenging, but nice.  It was funny to hear so many people from Illinois talking about the "hilly" bike course.  Rob and I laughed at that!  It is really pretty flat.  I have never done Pleasant Prairie, so I can't comment on that.  I would definitely do Bigfoot again!

Just so nobody thinks that I'm completely clueless, here's what I did: I hit the "Races" button at the top of the screen and I was directed to the WI 2010 race calendar, jump to page 4 to find the Bigfoot Triathlon on June 27, look under 'View Member's Race Reports"... and nothing.

only small goof...that took you to THIS year, 2010, and since it hasn't happened yet, their are none. Doing it the other way (skavoovies link) is for all the past years.

were you able to read some, and get an idea if you think you would like it? my own review from 2009 may be one to skip...conditions weren't the best, but I love that race!
