Subject: Wetsuit fit question
I wore a wetsuit for the first time in my life in a race on Saturday. I have a deep friction burn behind my right knee from the suit. I did breast stroke almost the whole swim, which is why the friction was so strong there, but I know that doesn't have to happen. Is this a fit problem or does everyone just put BodyGlide there? It only happened on one leg so I wasn't sure.

Thanks!

If that's the only place it rubbed it's proabably ioslated to that area of the wetsuit. Use BodyGlide there next time and see if that helps. Also, make sure you pull up the legs of the wetsuit nice and snug so you don't have any sag or wrinkles behind your knee. You might also look inside to make sure there's no defect on the lining that might be rubbing. Good lcuk to you!

what triman50 said -

i've had this happen to me with surfing and windsurfing wetsuits. each and every time it was due to a little fold on the back the knee.
