I have the option of:

A) Felt B16 (new) - $1840 (includes tax)
B) Cervelo P1 (new) - $1840 (includes tax)
C) Keep looking.

Obviously the components on the P1 are better but the B16 is Carbon.  And sexy And to be honest i like the LBS selling the B16 better.

Pros, cons, comments, etc....?

For first bike, why not buy used?  You can get more for your money, or spend less to really decide what you want and then buy the perfect bike for you later.

I spent $1800 on a P2C w/ full DA this way.

True, I would rather buy used for a first bike, but I live in a relatively small region and finding a used bike around here is not easy.  Nothing on Craigslist and since I'm extremely green to all of this, I'm not real sure where to look elsewhere.

I would expand the search on craigslist. I picked up an almost new trek equinox for $600 and had it shipped for $75 from a guy on craigslist. There is a lot out there just keep looking
