Where does everyone go?  I go up to East Reservoir, it seems to be the closest I know off that isn't completely polluted.

^^^ seems to be a popular choice.
Heard someone on Sharks BB last year talking about Bountiful pond - not sure how that turned out.

Blackridge is also the newest option for those on the southern side of the valley (in Herriman).  It's small, but convenient (depending on where in the valley you are).

Keep an eye out on the Sharks BB for groups doing swims at East this summer.

I'd be kind of scared to swim in the Bountiful Pond personally. Its right next to the dump. I'm sure there is some seepage going on.

Oh come on... where's your sense of adventure?
Just adds a little flavor to the water!

Eeeeeeew. Kinda like swimming in Utah Lake. East Canyon is always a good choice, IMO. Also, Echo and Deer Creek are decent. And for the adventuraous, there's a little pond in the west desert off I-80 called Blue Lake, I know a group that went out there last spring for an OWS. They're going back again in April, so it couldn't have been too bad. Good Luck picking, and like Heather said, check the Desert Sharks board freuquently--it seems like there's always someone posting a workout of one type or another, plus the club doea group clinics at least once/month, and group workouts at least twice/week during the tri season.

I'm not sure but I believe that Blue Lake is where my bro-in-law goes to scuba dive in the winter. The water is pretty clear and its feed by hot springs so it stays warm in the winter.  If its not Blue Lake then its in that general area.

Yes, I believe that's the one.
