I did find an 09 B12, which is the same as the 2010 except for the paint. I'll ask when they are getting their 2010's and let you know.

I ordered my 2010 Felt earlier in the month, and supposedly they arrive at the Felt distribution center on Feb 28 and the ship from there.  I put my current bike on Craigslist 2 weeks ago figuring I would go through a hundred flakes before finding a real buyer.  2 hours after posting, got an email and they bought it that night!  Good problem to have, but I feel incomplete without a bike now ...  When mine comes in, I may have to drop the Jerry Maguire line on it.

I might end up investing in a B16 this upcoming week.  It's just so difficult to resist.

If I were compelled to upgrade a component on a 2010 B16 if I had the option, what would be the best component to upgrade?

Are rear derailleurs more important than front ones?

Is this a 2009 or 2010?  Was it in stock or was it ordered?
Where did you end up getting it?  Were you able to negotiate price?

Which one do you shift more with?

Good point.  Most definitely the rear.  I'm not an uber strong cyclist so I don't spend a whole lot of time in the big ring.

I'm in the same boat as you. See if the shop will put a compact on it. That's what I had to do. They had an extra FSA compact around and they put it on. I was/am kinda intimidated by the true big rings.

Its an 09. I did negotiate a little on the price, and plan to do more negotiating when I'm back in the shop. The starting point is $2600, but the shop has agreed to swap out a few parts during the fitting, etc. I'm happy with that and will ask for some pedals to be thrown in as well.

I've been looking for the bike for a while now, and since I've finally found it, I'm not gonna let $100 bucks stand in the way of my purchasing it.

What exactly is a compact crank?

EDIT: I just did some research and that sounds like something I should really look into.  On my road bike, I rarely spend time riding my largest chainring.  I don't have much leg strength so that might help me.  I also feel more comfortable riding with a higher cadence.

09 B12.

I didn't love the Bayonet aero bar and the shop changed me to a Profile Design T2 and the T2 carbon extensions, and swapped for a Profile Design Hammer OS stem. Otherwise its stock.

Can't wait to ride!

Just curious why your LBS are listing the B16's at $2,400.  The Felt website shows MSRP as $1,999 for the 2010 model.  I bought one a month ago (and love it) and paid $1,999.  Part of the reason it won bike of the year was because of the absurdly low asking price for such a fine piece of machinery.

My LBS finally opened today and I should be included on the next Felt order.  March 16th is the earliest it would come in supposedly.  Stay tuned for some nice B14 porn Wink

Does anyone know for sure if the disc wheel covers from wheelbuilder.com fit properly on Felt brand wheels?  I know that on some Shimano wheels there isn't enough clearance between the hub and the cassette.  Wheelbuilder says that there should be 5mm(I think) between the hub and cassette to avoid any chain rub.  I assume that that's the only requirement?
