Although I have managed to drop many pounds since I began training for triathlons, I would like to shave about 10 more pounds that I can't seem to shake.  I'd like to find a book or something that provides info on both training & weight loss.

I need to find some foods that are filling but yet low-cal.  I tend to get pretty hungry and I don't know what foods would best fit the bill.  If anyone knows of any good reference material please advise.  Thanks in advance!

Gosh, there's so many- I think I own them all!! LOL!! Ok, my top picks: Matt Fitzgerald's new book: "Racing Weight" and Bob Seebohar's books: "Nutrition Periodation for Endurance Athletes" and "Metabolic Efficiency Training". The Metabolic Efficiency book is one that I just got and I'm trying to wrap my brain around it. These three are definitely my go-to books. There's also Paleo for Athletes, Nancy Clark has a pretty good, Monique Ryan has a decent one.. The common theme is to eat as naturally as possible.
Good luck!

"Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle"

It's my bible.  Written very well for the average person to understand and apply to their own lives.  Whether you are a body builder, endurance athlete, or someone just trying to get to a normal weight, this book has information you need to make permanent fat loss possible.

I have quite a few
I like the Paleo diet for Athletes which as it emphasises when to eat what sort of foods (pre, post workout etc).  Some of the others do too.
The Matt Fitzgerald Racing weight is also good

I'm reading a book right now that is specifically geared towards athletes in training.  It's written by Chris Carmichael; "Food for Fitness".  I really like it and it makes a ton of sense to me as an analytical person.

I love Fitzgerald too. I love that in his first book he helps you figure out what your ideal race weight is based on body composition.

I also recommend nutrition periodization.  Getting this down could help a lot, so you eat the right amount at the right times.

I thought I was the only one...hehehe...good to hear other people have enjoyed his book as much as I have.

Funny that such a powerful book is not more commonly known about.  But I guess the author explains it himself...that hard work, blood, sweat, and tears does not sell very well.  Quick, easy, and little effort makes millions.
