Swim
Comments: 5th out of the water in my wave, although I didn't feel like I ever got comfortable. constantly worried about getting off course. What would you do differently?: More open swims, and more confidence in my navigation and swimming skills Transition 1
Comments: Had to put on shirt with number already attached to the front. What a pain in the ass. Shirt is a zip up, so that didn't work too well. Race director said no race belts, so it was the same for everyone I guess. What would you do differently?: Race belt, and maybe try to figure out a better way to get out of the suit Bike
Comments: Have got to get better on the uphill climbs. What would you do differently?: I thought I paced myself well, just didn't climb very well Transition 2
Comments: pretty good transition everything went smooth What would you do differently?: calm down a little and catch my breath Run
Comments: Didn't feel racy at all. Basically just survived the run. What would you do differently?: go a little easier the last 1/2 mile of the bike, and try to get the blood moving Post race
Warm down: ate some oranges, stretched a little, and watched some of the finish Event comments: I had a blast. It was tough, but I'm fairly pleased with the results for my first real Triathlon. Last updated: 2005-06-14 12:00 AM

ate a bagel, and a bananna, with a half a cup of coffee. Just the right amount of coffee without getting the shakes
just took a short ride on the bike, and stretched well after that.
