That's actually a big feat for me, since usually I only get up early to do yoga, and even that hasn't been happening lately!

I'm planning on going to yoga tonight after work, in preparation for my 20-miler tomorrow!  By this time tomorrow, I'll be done with my yoga & run goals!  Strength should be wrapped by Monday once my lifting buddy gets back in town.  Which just leaves me to do a lot of biking Embarassed

I haven't caught up to all of yesterday's thread yet, but I will soon!

Today would normally be my day off but I'm hoping to get to the pool tonight.  It just depends on how early my husband gets home from work...  I may have to take my daughter to the dr this afternoon so I can't sneak out of work to do it...   But if I can get over to the pool, I can knock off the last of my swim goal and can guarentee I won't get into the wine too early.  Which will therefore help make tomorrow more productive too!  Smile

Today, I would like to dedicate all 10 of my slow and painful miles to the twisters.  Thank you twisters.

Great job!!!!

Thanks!  I'm sure when my glutes are no longer seized-up it will feel like a great job LOL.

I've never...do you wear clothes?

I think I've only done one; wore a sweatshirt above the water line but can't remember what I had on below.

I might wear my compressions shorts for protection Innocent and a hoodie or just a ski cap for some warmth.  The first minute is absolutely horrible but once you go numb it is not that bad.

Bill, what is the rule of numb thumb on an ice bath as far as how long it takes to be effective?  I tried to do one after my half may on Sunday, but I only lasted about 4-5 minutes (if that).  Maybe my problem is I didn't wear any "protection" as you say... OUCHIE... brings to mind a certain Seinfeld episode.

Good morning!

Today was a Pilates and Yoga morning. They don't count towards a goal, but they are oh so good.

Good morning, my bEASTies,
I got up this morning and did my first run since the race on Sunday.  It didn't feel good at all.  My left leg was hurting from the knee, down through the shin and even around to my calf... kind of any achy feeling.  Strange.  Could I still be recovering from the race???

Anyway, got in 3.8 miles and I'm now one treadmill or outdoor run session away from meeting my run goal.  Bike goal is already hit.  My plan is (was) to go to the gym at lunch for my 3rd swim in 3 days.  But I'm feeling pretty run down.  The good news is that it appears all of my "lunch buddies" from work are either at offsite meetings, off today, or already have lunch plans, so I may have no other choice but to go to the Y.  But I can tell you that I'll be one unhappy swimmer.

Trust me Bill I am not an expert - I wimped out and use our shower massager and tell me that it is just as well!

I think the key is to get in and fill it as you are in already.  Hot chocolate/coffee/tea and a hoodie works wonders also!

I will let you know tomorrow!

Yes... I can personally attest to the fact that sitting down in a tub filled with chunks of ice is not a pleasant sensation.  There were cubes in places I didn't even know existed!!! Yell

That falls under the    T.G.I.F.    T.M.I.    category!!!! Embarassed

Blimey.  I am back from the insurance office.  What a waste.  The guy was very nice and apologetic that he couldn't help me.  Almost makes up for the not so nice lady I talked to yesterday.  Bottom line is we have to wait for the appeal.  Boo hiss.  That is what I figured but I was sort of hoping they could magically fix it today.  Oh well, we've done everything we can and now it is out of my hands.  Still bummed out though.

I bailed on my swim but I still plan to run this afternoon.  4 miles is calling my name.  Wish it was warmer out.  It is raw today.

ebshot - 2010-03-26 7:05 AM Morning team.  I slept like crap last night. Two nights in a row of bad sleep = grouchy me.  But, I shall have coffee and perk up.

Today I hope to swim and maybe even run.  It will all be dependent on how long the insurance stuff takes.  Sorry but that is taking priority right now.  I think I'll have time for at least one of them though.

Sounds like my week.  Except I don't have to argue with insurance companies.    Hope everything works out.  That is definitely the priority.

I saw my audiologist this morning (last check on the hearing aid before it goes off of warrantee) and mentioned your issue. She told me that in Maryland insurers are required to cover hearing aids for children under 18 for at least $1200 per ear. I hope your appeal gets a proper consideration.
