A few weeks back or a month or 2 back, someone posted a really great chart displaying a stand alone half marathon pacing chart vs your HIM run pacing. Does anyone have a link to it?

Hrm... isn't the HIM run pace typically the same as the open mary pace.... don't really need a chart for that....

That is actually almost exactly true for my last HIM and my only marathon. . . spooky.

Some triathletes have never run an open mary so chart is helpful.

It's also good to look at it based on your VDot if you do testing on an ongoing basis as it shows what can be not what we hope our pace to be.

My half IM run time is actually faster than my stand alone half mary.  Funny - I need a while to warm up.  :-)

Or maybe your fitness improved quite a bit from your stand alone half mary. How far apart were they?

Wasn't for me:  Went 8:14/mile for Vineman 70.3 in 2008 (my HIM run PR) and my pace for my marathons on either side of that were, respectively, 8:58 and 8:29 (my mary PR).  So my HIM run PR pace is significantly faster than my marathon PR pace.  Actually, my HIM run PR (1:48) isn't all that far off my open half mary PR (1:36).

That's a great chart! Thanks for posting it. I bookmarked it for future reference. I also had a good laugh. My open half-marathon and my half-ironman run are WORLDS apart! Like 35 minutes apart! Gotta keep building up that endurance base.

Thanks for that Kathy!  After my HM this weekend (missed my goal time by one min) I was worried that I wouldn't be able to pull off my goal HIM run time, but the chart says I am right on for my goal (and that's the low time, not even the 95%).  I need that reminder that I am right on track!

I would not claim this. Your only :12 per mile apart so typically the same would be close.
