I've been working on improving keeping a "high elbow" I've seen 15 sec. drop off of my easy pase time in the pool... can't wait to see what it does for me in open water....

EVF is a really important concept! This is what a 'high elbow' usually means, although it can refer to the recovery stroke as well. EVF is often the big thing holding swimmers back in their speed. Many articles and videos on this concept.


I wasn't understanding that until I started reading TJ Fry's blog about the hand/wrist leading the elbow.  Then I understood.

It's hard to execute in the water but I'm working on it.
