Subject: Uploading 310XT files
I'm having trouble uploading my 310xt files. I get to page to upload, it finds my unit, and it uploads as the bar moves from left to right is says done 100% but the bar is not all the way to the right which means the drop down to pick the file to upload doesn't show up.

I had this issue in the past and downloaded the newest Garmin plug in which fixed the problem. My laptop's hard drive was replaced which is when the issue started again. I did download the most recent plug in but still have the problem.

Hope Ron or Mike you can help me out. BTW missed seeing you guys at the expo this year.

Mike and I spoke of this this weekend, we just got back from the MD expo and we should be catching up on things early this week and he will jump on here and try to help figure it out.

This has happened to others and based on my (and others) experience with the 310xt, it's probably due to one or more corrupt files.

First, look in this location on your PC
 C: > Documents and Settings > PC USERNAME > Application Data > Garmin > Devices > Unit S/N Folder
If there's a folder in there called BADFIT, it may contain a file that has the date of a workout that continues to fail. This file would be the source of the problem. Garmin Support has been able to help some people recover the workout data for those.

Other people have had to do a hard reset of their 310xt, but this means a loss of workout data.

Finally, Garmin has also recommended trying the sequence below. I'm not sure if it works.
  • Close the ant agent in the system tray by right clicking then select Exit
  • Remove the GAA stick from your machine
  • Uninstall Garmin Ant Agent from Control Panel, add/remove programs
  • Reboot
  • Install GAA
  • Insert the GAA stick

BTW, the bar not going all the way over is just a display issue, it has nothing to do with the actual device communications.
