With two-time defending champion and 2009 Tour de France winner Alberto Contador opted out, it's Euskaltel's Samuel Sanchez in the hot seat for this year's Tour of the Basque Coun try. The reigning Olympic champ will wear bib No. 1 during the cycling stage race, April 5-10. On right now and all this week on Universal Sports, not sure if they have online coverage or not but my DVR is set for the week, and Paris-Roubaix this weekend!

I can't tell you how refreshing it was to turn on US last night and watch the stage!  What a great race!  And Freire got screwed.  While I don't disagree that perhaps Valverde got boxed out, it was still a great finish and I think clean.

Yeah that was a great finish for Horner, nice to see him get such a big win.

I was really excited to see Horner had won, too bad it was such big news that the spoilers couldn't be avoided.

Sorry about that, I should have modified the title.  There wasn't much buzz for the race here so wasn't sure if anyone else was following it closely.
