Subject: Training Rides or Course around W Des Moines?
Hi all,

I will be in W Des Moines next weekend and am looking for a decent course for a 2 hour ride.  Hills are good and okay.  I am fairly familiar with Racoon River Trail and the path that goes up past Saylorville lake  but neither seem safe enough for a tri bike.

I used my road bike, but did the saylorville lake area starting from downtown.  But, I was not there for a weekend.  During the week after work, there were maybe 20 people total on the 40 + miles I road in the evenings.  I could have easily done most of it in the aero position, because there were not many people around.  I don't know enough of the area, but their are many trails in the Des Moines area.  I asked the hotel for a map and they had many at the front desk.
