Awesome!

You better watch it.  Next you'll be fighting over prime training times.

That's cool!  First to get your wife into this and second to be more proud of her than of your own races.

PennState - 2010-04-11 6:47 PM It's funny, I've had some really good race results. Really good! But I don't think I've ever been this happy or proud

It's because you know what it took for her to do it and it's impressive!

Congrats to Tracie!!

Starting with her first race as a 10 miler seems like she may like endurance type events. Once your girls get older watch out you may become a two racing parent family and it gets way more complicated.

So what is she thinking about signing up for next?

One of my favorite races was when Jamie and I ran the Tuscon Half Marathon side by side last year. It's awesome being able to race with your spouse.
great job, Tracie!

Congrats!  This was my wife's first 10 miler that she ran through the whole way, she did the Army 10 miler last fall but had to work through an injury the month before, so she ran/walked that.  I am proud of my wife as well!

As a side note, I'm going to be up in State College for B/W in a couple weeks (my parents just retired up there about 2 years ago), got any good running/riding routes?

That's awesome!  I have my wife considering a race this year.  Last year, she would have said, "no way", to running outside, so just the fact that she is considering it is huge.  She is still intimidated about running outside, though.  She definitely wouldn't start with a 10 miler, but I can see a 5k in her future.  She is a very competitive person too, so I think she would get hooked if she tried

Tell her congrats.  Very impressive that her first race was an 10 miler.
