I'm thinking of hitting the pavement of Oak Mountain for some hills on Saturday morning if anyone is interested.

I'm hoping to go wheels up from the park at approx. 7am and make 2 loops (~35mi) and depending on how I'm feeling maybe follow up with a short 3-5mi brick. Since it is a big park, I'd like to meet at the far parking lot (just before heading up Peavine) on the Main Park Office Rd, in front of the BUMP building. If that sounds good, post back here so I know to look for you.

I'll be out of pocket tomorrow (until late tomorrow evening) but I will check back in to see who's interested.

Hopefully I'll catch some takers

Sheesh - I could only think about hitting 35+ for an extended period if I was coming down Pike's Peak!

I think I can make it out there for 1 loop.  My kid has a game at 9 and I'm not as fast as pilotzs, so one loop will have to do.  ;-)

I am riding a yellow Kestrel.  Pretty hard to miss.

Good deal.  Will be good to meet some fellow BT folks.  I will not be fast on the Oak Mountain Hills..... but i need the practice for the Buster Britton.  I guess we can meet up at 7am.

Sounds good. See you folks at 7 out by the BUMP house.

(Blue chevy z71 pickup truck, Black Specialized

I'll probably ride 35mi, so if you're up for it, that's great, if not, no problem.

Great to meet you guys.  I have a game at the same time next weekend and may be able to do the same thing.  Hopefully no dropped chains or popped tubes.  I haven't dropped a chain in a year and never blown a tire.  Strange morning.

Speaking of that, Jason, I went by Cahaba and grabbed a threaded CO2 cartridge and a tube (I needed some tubes anyway).  I have them in my glove compartment to replenish your supply.

Lots of fun on the ride.

Good deal.  No need to worry.  I think the CO2 goes to LostSheep.

It was a good ride and I enjoyed meeting y'all.  I'll try to make it out next week.  I will be alone with the kiddo's next weekend, so i'll have to see if I can find someone to help me out early.

Apparently I need to start climbing more hills.  Sorry if i slowed y'all down too much.

I may try to hook up with the Tri Club on Tuesday night....

Hills - it's what's for breakfast!

Anyone else really considering the Vulcan Tri Ride tomorrow?

I am coaching soccer through early May.  No Tri ride for me until then.  After that I'll try and make some of those.
