My swimming is really hard for me. I have been sick on and off now for over a month and just can't get rid of a little bit of a chest cold. I feel like I struggle a lot with my breathing and was wondering if part of the problem could be the cold, anxiety or both????People tell be I have a "beautiful" stroke, but to me I feel like I'm just flopping in the water. Do any of you have any ideas how to feel more comfortable with my breathing... or is it just going to take time? I just hope there is hope for me!!

The best adivice I can give you is to take a break from all exercise until your chest cold clears up. Swimming or any other type of training will only exacerbate your cold and you will finally get so frustrated that you will quit. Just lay off until you are totally over the cold. In the meantime, you can do some weights or a bit of stretching just to stay in tune.
