Sleeve and Sleeveless wetsuit?

Subject: Sleeve and Sleeveless wetsuit?
Dear all,

I am new to triathlon but after my first HIM, I know that I am hooked and I am getting to my full IM end of June.

For the swim, I bought a XTerra Vector Pro X2.

I am wondering if there is any need to get a sleeveless in addition?

Is there some open waters where it will be really better to get a sleeveless or is it just matter of personal preference.

It is a matter of personal preference as far as I can tell. If you have one with sleeves it is all you need. For most people they are a little faster in full sleeved wetsuits becaue of the added bouyancy. Some say they feel the water better in a sleeveless suit, what ever that means. If you get a good fit and put it on correctly there should not be the arm restriction that some claim a full sleeved wetsuit has that the sleeveless doesn't.

I had both for a while.  Never used the sleeveless so I sold it.

I honestly don't know anyone with 2.  I don't see the need.

I have both. I never use the sleeveless anymore so I probably should sell it.

I bought it back when I was a weaker swimmer and I was worried about finishing local sprint distances without the buoyancy of the wetsuit but worried the full wetsuit would be too hot.
