Subject: Slide Boards for training
Has anyone encorporated a slide board into their training?  Was it helpful? Maybe wrong term, but these are the slick boards many hockey players and skaters use to train on.  It would make sense that they would help build lateral strength which is hard to come by just S/B/R.

Thanks for any feedback...

You can incorporate similar movements without a board, by doing the same lateral drills on a grass field, with some forward momentum.Use google to search for skating drills. This will avoid you smacking your head on a counter or coffee table - do not ask how I know this....

There are also drills/exercises that utilize rubber tubing to strengthen the lateral (and medial) leg muscles...

As for whether it is applicable to tri training, that is best left for some of the experts on the forums.
