Subject: 404 front & 808 rear
Greetings

I am looking at buying a set of racing wheels and was considering a Zipp 404 on the Front and a Zip 808 on the rear.
Does anyone have any experiences with this set up or does anyone have any better set up suggestions?

That's sold as a 606 and is one of the standard setups I've seen and read about.
Another thing to consider is also get a disc cover for the 808 and use it when you can use a disc rear wheel. That gives you another setup possibility.

HED Jet 60/90 (or Stinger 60/90 if you want tubulars) combo would be very similar and save you some money.

I rode on a borrowed 606 set for IMCOZ. Even in the heavy side winds on the bike course they did not get blown around. I felt like I could have gone deeper on the front wheel. As mentioned there are cheaper options and doing a 808 rear with a disc cover would give you a nicely versatile wheel set with the cost of two rears.

I'm in the same situation, and trying to work out whether this combo is best or not, but on SRAM or HED wheels.
I'm down to a choice of either SRAM 60 all round or SRAM 60 front with 80 rear with the option of then getting a rear cover.  Is there a solid reason to go one way or the other?

As well as tri's I would like to use these for longish distance road rides - we have 100-200km charity rides here in Aus and it would be cool to use a nice set of wheels.......!
