Subject: headphones
Hey everyone,
I just read about racing rules.. is it true that you can't wear headphones in a triathlon? I didn't read that in my race's instructions. I find that my headphones are what get me through my training and I'll be so disappointed if I can't wear them! I never workout without them. If you guys could let me know what you think, I'd appreciate it! Thanks a lot!

No headphone during races. Do a SEARCH on HEADPHONES and you'll see a lot of posts with the answer, "NO!"Besides if you never wear them while training...no need to have them in a race. You should be used to going long distances with only your brain for entertainment.

oh no.. I said I never work out without them! uhh that really sucks.. Oh well, at least I found out now .. not race day! I am going to double check with my race.. but I'm sure it's probably not a go!

Training/racing with headphones is very dangerous, both on the bike and the run.  

Being stuck on a treadmill or trainer for hours would make anyone go crazy without tunes, I agree, but on the road, leave the headphones at home.

Go with the singing to yourself route - if your dad is running alongside of you, and isn't also racing, then it's outside assistance.
