The bike. It's more of a way to get re-energized and it's not as grueling as the run, at least for me.

I have nothing against the post feeding. I just usually feel like throwing up after a race and have to wait a little while before eating. :-) I do like the juice and oranges.

I voted bike. Just started training fro my 1st sprint tri(from scratch) and so far I look most forward the bike rides. Cover more ground, see more country, and I can get a better workout because I can go longer than when swimming and running so far.

I would have to say the swim. But I come from a swimming background. What is yours?

I had to vote for the run, just because it was looking neglected.

I do not compete in my first race until 6/6, but I am CERTAIN my favorite part will be the post-race feeding.

I voted swim because it's the only event I feel I can do at a really good time.

Seems like my vote just put the bike in the lead.

The bike is my favorite part of the triathlon simply because on the bike I can travel much faster than I can on foot or in water (swimming).

The swim is where I plan to drop most of my competitiors.  Most anyone can bike pretty well, but not eveyone is a great swimmer.

And on the bike is where I hope to catch up with most of the great swimmers.

I can only speak from a training perspective having never ran one yet........Going into the tri training it would of been the run, having been training on my new bike, I would say it is going to be the bike.  However,  as mentioned before, you do cross the finish line during the run and that has to be sweet everytime.

I like the training for the bike and swim equally. The run is a distant last. But I think that in the actual race, the experience of a crowded swim with people mowing me down won't be as much fun. So, there you are. That's my vote.

Has to be the bike or run, because that means the swim is over. On either the run or the bike, if I fall or wreck or, you know, stop, I won't sink. That is a big plus for me, not sinking. I like not sinking. I like breathing. I like not sinking and breathing best of all.

In fact, if T1 had been one of the choices, I would have picked that too. Sinking bad - breathing good....

I would have to say both pre- and post- feeding are my favorite, anything involving food. Although picturing my new bike is making me feel guilty about not confessing my newfound love for cycling!

My favorite part of the Tri is that last half mile of the run!  You know when you know that you are going to finish and you get that great feeling of accomplishment.

I'm going to say the run is the best part of the race. First you cross the finish line with everyone watching. Second, there are no more transitions. Third, the dry heaving. It's such a relief when I finish. My stomach tightens up during a road race or the running portion because I try to go all out. So when I dry heave, it all lets loose and relaxes again. It's also hardcore. It is pretty sick yes, but hey what are you going to do. This reminds me of a story. Do I have time for a story? Good. I was doing my first tri, at the mid point of the run I couldn't hold it anymore and had to dry heave. I did so while running at a slow pace. I stopped for two seconds to finish, then kept going. I passed the guy that had passed me. He was like, "Dude, you all right?" I was like, "Yeah, I'm fine. How are you doing?" He was like, "I'm not the one puking." Ahhh...good stuff. Once again. Hard core.

I clicked swim. It's not my best (do I have a best????), but I'm so jazzed at this point, that even if I get

1) scratched by my competitors
2) ruthlessly swum over
3) ingest 2 gallons of murky H2O
4) look embarrassing in my jogbra and shorts
5) freeze my patookus off

I'll still feel like a million bucks.

Oh wait... that happened!!

Run. Lets not forget that the run is where the trialthlete catches the swimmers and bikers.... (however the other triathletes may still beat him/her)
