Pre-race routine:

Spent the night at in-laws in Arlington (about 20 miles from race). Eat grits, yogurt, diet mt before leaving at 5am. 6:30am - eat a powerbar.
Swim
  • 43m 6s
  • 1500 meters
  • 02m 52s / 100 meters
Comments:

Good swim, I was satified with my time. I waited for the rest of my wave to leave before starting my swim. I knew I was going to be last on the swim, so I wanted to just stay out of everyone's way and enjoy it.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Transition 1
  • 02m 33s
Comments:

A little slow, but I didn't forget anything, so it was a success.
Bike
  • 1h 20m 27s
  • 24.8 miles
  • 18.50 mile/hr
Comments:

I didn't drink enough on bike and I pushed two hard. I should have worn my camelbak so I would have stayed hydrated.
Transition 2
  • 01m 30s
Run
  • 1h 05m 7s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 10m 30s  min/mile
Comments:

I was well below my ability on the run. I pushed the bike too hard and didn't drink enough - so I was out of gas when it came to the run. It was getting real hot and I was feeling it. I did a walk/run the entire 6 miles which was very disappointing to me.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough fluids on the bike and pushed it too hard for my level of fitness at this point. I viewed this event as a sprint distance and pushed hard, but couldn't continue that pace the whole time.

Great job and congrats on finishing. The run on olympic races has got me all 3 times I have tried it. The heat must have been killer.
