Dave,

You might not be able to get used to them by Sunday but I would definately start training with them.  I have noticed that I add at least 2-3mph when in the aero position vs not, but it took be about 100 miles to really get used to them.  They are an absolute advantage that you should capitalize on.

Hey Team,

I am very sorry that my numbers are low and I also apologize for not PMing on Mon.  This week has been absolutely crazy with beginning a new job.  I got up this AM at 4:15 for work and I just got back at 10p.  Tomorrow is another long day, but hopefully not as long.  I am planning a workout tomorrow, Sat, Sun,Mon, and Tues for sure so my numbers should be much improved by this time next week.  I have no doubt that I'll get to where I need to be.

And no worries. I decided against the race, so I can continue to think aerobars are stupid.

Good luck to those racing this weekend....Harmony and Max....others? I am doing a long club ride tomorrow to bring home some bike miles. Be safe, everyone, and have fun.

Numbers will be sent to you Sunday, Captain.

See, that's what I'm saying!  We're all too busy working OUT to come on here and have senseless chatter.

Hey, to our team captain, Machiavelo - you should know, does anyone need extra inspiring???

Yeah we're totally awesome. There are 9 of us, right? So that means we're at 44% on target. That totally kills the other teams. It looks like a close race between the LOSERS though.

cadreamer, I don't think that anyone needs any unusual inspiration.  Everyone is pretty much doing what they can.  I am positive that all team members will fulfill their challenge obligations.  My associates, Vinny and  Vito, are waiting patiently by the sidelines to "inspire" anyone who needs it. They specialize in rib massages  and spleen therapy!!!!  Ciao amico ....

I'm a paramedic for a fairly busy County system in Southern Cal.  And I'd quit if I didn't like what I do so much!!!  Oh well, guess I'll just have to make due!

Go Loco Ocho's!!!!

I'm past my goal for swimming for the month, up over 11,000 yds already, there's a good chance I might hit 20,000 by the end of the month. The biking will pick up with 112 miles at Ironman, plus another 26 miles running next weekend. I'm on track for a decent month!

Well if you have to settle for a "decent" month with only one measly ironman, I guess it will have to do.

Max,

I really don't think that you should be able to count the "non-training" miles you are going to do at Ironman.  I mean, the rest of us aren't doing that and we are going to get by, but if you have to cheat...go ahead!

BTW- you are my idol!

I cannot see why max, or anyone else, could not use their triathlon mileage for the challenge.  I veiew all my swimming, cycling and running as training whether commuting on my bike, training specifically, or doing a tri.

LOL...I'm only counting the Ironman total because after that I'll be so wasted that I probably won't do squat for the whole last week of July. Though I gotta get at least a bike ride in there to make sure I hit my monthly mileage goal.
