Surfing Lessons in San Juan?

Hey BT- I'm trying to buy some surfing lessons as a wedding gift for friends who are moving from CT to San Juan after their wedding in a couple of weeks. 

Anyone have experience with surf shops in San Juan and how I might go about doing this without just writing them a check?
