Subject: 2x HIM in 7 days: done!
I am happy to have just finished my second half Ironman in the last 7 days. I managed them well because I pushed as A priority race in Austria and got the Clearwater slot. Today I partecipated because it was just around the corner and beautiful event. The bike profile is though with 3600ft ascent in total with 2 very though hills at 15-16% slope. I managed to keep the average power in the range but of course the total TSS was very high and running under a sunny 30 degrees weather was very very though. I just wanted to bring home my 2nd Mdot medals
Finished safe and happy.
4h40 last sunday
5h00 today

Now time for a couple of pizzas Smile

Curious about what you did the week between. I like to race weekends in a row like that too and am always wondering what the best strategy is for being somewhat recovered but not absolutely stale for the next weekend.

LOL!!!!

Wow, you must recover quickly. Are you for real?

16 plus hours the few days in between two HIMs? What does your normal volume look like?

consider all this as prep for Ironman too. Instead of doing big days or big weeks, racing can be a good way to prepare for bigger races...
