Subject: Chatanooga Waterfront Tri - Hotel
The official hotel of is the Courtyard Marriott, but it's booked.  Anyone have any suggestions on a decently priced hotel near the race?

There is a Hampton Inn nearby.  I've stayed there and biked to the race site the morning of the race.  It's only a couple of miles from the race site.  Decent hotel, reasonable price, good location.

BTW, this is a really good race.  Well run, well supported and really nice course.  It can be kinda warmish though.

I haven't been on this forum very long -- so I just saw your post today.  We have stayed at the Chattanooga Doubletree for 2 tris and several swim meets at a nearby prep school.  It's about 4 blocks from the race site and now that renovation is finished it's a great place to stay.  Every hotel in downtown Chattanooga is outrageously expensive though!

I just got back from a 2 day 'Nooga biz trip.  All hotels were booked because of a traveling Hot Rod tour and we had to stay at the Days Inn one block from the Sheraton.  $85, at least it was a clean room and couldn't complain about it.
