Muncie Multisport Tri Roll Call June 12th!

I'm in for the sprint tri.  Question:  The sprint swim is only 400 yards.  Is it worth wearing a wetsuit if it's legal?  This is my first OWS and I'm a little nervous.  I'm pretty confident in the pool, but I know OWS is a whole other ballgame.  Thanks.

Well, this is coming from the guy racing the Du but if I were doing the sprint tri I'd definitily wear my wetsuit if it's legal. Water temp was 76 as of late last week but it's rained and cooled off since then so it will probably be close.

Official water temp Monday: 75! Bring your wetsulit!

I'm in for the Sprint Tri, and yes I'll be bringing a wetsuit.  More than likely it will be the first swim of the year.  



 

I'm in for the sprint...first tri since 1982....swam in PC last sunday water temp 76,  for me thats a perfect temp for short swim distance...good luck to you fellas....

I'm in for the Oly Tri and getting excited. I like all the info the Muncie Multisport people are sending via e-mail, Facebook and their website. I like to be informed and they're doing a good job at it. Good luck to everyone!

I am in for the Oly.  This will be my first tri ever and I am have getting stoked for this for the past 3 weeks.  I am kind of nervous about all the transitions and how to get around in the transition areas but I think I will be okay once I get there and have a chance to walk around and see the layout.

Am I going to get crushed in the 40-44 AG?  Is the competition usually pretty stiff?

Hard to say.  Your run looks pretty strong.  Some of it depends on the field.  I haven't heard how many are even registered for the Oly.  You may crush the field.  I will say this though, the 40-44, 45-49 are two very competitive ag's.  Mid-life crisis and all...

You'll be fine. We've got a nice big transition area setup and we've got a transition flow map included in the race bags (we just stuffed those tonight)...pick it up Friday if you can so you can look at the flow. Competition is usually pretty good in the 35-39, 40-44, and 45-49 age groups but don't worry about that. Get through this event and see where you end up. From you logs it looks like you'll be fine. You won't find a better venue for your first tri!

I don't have a breakdown for each event (sprint/oly tri/Du/runs/Auqabike) but we stuffed 500+ race bags across all events tonight!
