Hi all,
First off, I find this site and all of its capabilities, and the online community it brings together to be nothing short of amazing (that definitely counts for at least a few reasons to love this sport). My wife and I (almost one year now) recently started seriously training every morning for our first tri in July. We absolutely love it and are in quite comparable endurance shape so training together is perfect for both of us. We are both runners, so that comes easy. Biking is extremely fun and exhilarating (when you have a decent bike which we recently went in debt to obtain... priorities right?). However, despite the wonderful weather in northern california, access to a decent size pool is tough, so the swimming aspect still has much room for improvement. We plan on joining a YMCA in June when the pools open. For now, we are progressing nicely and having an actually fantastic time waking at the crack of dawn to run or bike. Again, hello.. its nice to be part of such a global and truly inspiring community.

Welcome to you both! I first started training as a result of my fiance's great suggestion that we do this together. A few months later, I'm registered for three races; he, none. He promises "next year" though!

That is great that you both train together and support eachother like that. I too just recently went into debt with the purchase of my new bike
