So, I went over 48 mph today during a ride...

Going that fast is EXHILARATING, but it does make you think about your bike and your abilities...

One screw, one spoke...ANY failure...and you're not going to be back on there for a LONG time...

How fast have you gone recently?

Cool

I hit 39 on a descent last week.  Around here you'd have to look hard to find a downhill that would get you going much faster than that.

IMCdA last Sunday, my bike computer said my top speed was 44mph.  It has some decent hills but I'm sure that speed was one of the spots where I was hammering downhill to max how far I got up the other side.

Hit 50 a couple weeks ago on a really ugly hill around here, but usually I max out at 45.

At that speed, I figure if I wreck, I won't have time to be afraid before I'm F'd up.  So I don't really worry about it.
