Water was very cold! I feel sorry for those that did not have a wetsuit. Arms and feet were actually sore from the cold after the swim.

I was very happy with my ride as I was able to make a PR in a 40k ride. Course was fairly easy and made for some times.

Comments:

Was very happy with my run also as I equaled a PR from last year. Run was very hot. This was my first race since purchasing a Garmin 201 and the pace data was very helpful and easy instead of rely on the mile markers and my watch.

Event comments:

Overall this was one of my better races to date. I am still lagging on the swim and need to improve in this area. Very happy with my race. I am a little disappointed that I didn't realize I had placed in my age group, so instead of sticking around for the awards presentation we all went to the beach.

On another note, I am sick as a dog today after feeling like a million bucks yesterday. Woke up this morning with a cold/sore throat and a terrible eye infection. Spent the morning at the doctor getting that checked out. Not sure if I picked it up from the lake or what.
