Subject: Suggestion on TRI shoes
Looking to get some TRI shoes for my bike and seeing what people would suggest. I'm a beginner triathlete so I don't need any $300 shoes. But I have some Pearl Izumi type that are kind of a MTB style platform. Justt seeing what people would suggest and it would take the SPD clips.

Links and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I LOVE my Specialized Trivents.  I'm a beginner so I have nothing else to compare them to but they have worked great for me.  A little expensive at $175 but having shoes that fit well is worth it to me.

I love my Shimanos, I think its much like Nike/Brooks/New Balance/Mizuno/Saucony...
whatever fits your foot the best.

Specialized Tri-Vent. I got them for about $160 three years ago and have done a handful of centuries, a handful of HIMs and a bunch of OLY/Sprints in them. When I wear these out I'll buy another pair.

Shimano TR31's for me - cheap (around $120), have one simple and wide velcro strap, and do their job. Eventually, I may move to a carbon soled shoe, but I don't feel the need yet.

My Carnac's are pretty comfortable and not too expensive. The Sidi Terra is about 250.00 and my dream shoe

I picked up some Louis Garneau Tri Air 2's last year which have been great on rides up to 100k.  For longer rides I still have a sweet spot for my Sidi Genius road shoes.
