I am coming off of two partial knee replacements (2 years ago) so I know I am in a bit different category. Do any of you ice joints (knees) after workouts? It seems to help my recovery for the next day. Just wondering.

I don't have quite the knee damage as you, but ice comes straight from the Gods and it the most wonderful thing ever for healing. My dr.'s and massage therapist pound it into my head. I take an ice bath after every 16+ mile run and it keeps me from being sore. I ice my knees after every 6+ mile run and I don't have any knee pain anymore.

It was pretty warm here last night when I went out for my training ride. 15 miles, 1 hour and a couple hard attacks on hill I rolled into the garage. I can't tell you how nice that ice pack felt on my knees! I was a little stiff this morning but not too bad.
