Anyone doing this race next weekend?  I'll be there, hoping to set some new PR's, and I got my new race suit

This is my first Oly so i'm nervous. Don't know what to expect. Training up to this date hasn't been what I have hoped but nevertheless i'm going all out. During the run I have to just remember that this is all suppose to be fun! that 6 mile run is going to suck!

See you guys out there

I got a room at the Hampton, they have a deal if you tell them you're with the Triathlon for $90.  If you come down early, I was planning on taking a leisurely ride of the course on Friday.

Looks like it is going to be an early morning for me. I thought it started at 8am, but I just looked and it is at 7am, I guess with a 2 hour drive on the morning of from Raleigh I will have to be up long before the birds.

Been a pretty bad 2 weeks of training for me, so I am just going to go and see what happens.

Hopefully see some of you there.

I will be there.  Still haven't decided if I'm going down the night before and stay at my parent's house or ride over that morning (only an hour from kinston)  Probably depends upon how work goes on Friday.  I will be leaving right after I cool down due to kids' swim meet in Greenville.  (won't be getting any awards anyway)

this is a great race with the one possible exception of the time of the year.  Take for granted that it will be really humid.  There may not be much wind that early in the morning, but it can pick up.  Bike is flat.  run is flat.  Not much shade on either.  Swim will be warm.  I swam over there Wedensday and it is about like swimming in a bathtub temperature wise.

look forward to seeing you all there.  I'll put a big spot on one of my calf's so you might find me (i'll be one of the slow ones)

I'll be leaving from Wake Forest for the race at "0 dark thirty" tonight.

The past 1 1/2 weeks has been crazy.  I have moved into a historic home built in 1876 and have been doing all the moving myself.  I am still not out of my old place yet.  I've been working around the clock, it seems, trying to get this move completed.  I had hoped to be completely moved by yesterday, but now it looks like it will be Sunday.

I blew a tube on the rear tire yesterday riding a mile to the mailbox.  Had to walk the bike back home.  I wonder if the heat and hotter than normal roads are popping more tubes.  I've got to get a tire changing kit for the bike in case this happens in a race or long ride.

Not sure what my number is yet, however, I will be sporting a Team FSSeries jersey before and after the race.  We are still waiting for the team tri-tops to come in.

Good to see you all this morning and also talking with all you guys. Always nice to be able to talk to people at a race when you are there alone.
Thanks to all of you for shouting encouragement out on the course.
