Subject: RE: How to train with a broken foot...??? Did the exact same thing 5 1/2 weeks ago. Tried swimming after 4 weeks, but that seemed to irritate the ankle/foot. Have managed to do some strength work in the gym. Will re-try the pool at 6 weeks. If that goes well, then I will try light biking at 7 weeks. My conservative doctor said no running until 12 weeks. If the swimming and biking go well I might give running a try at 10 weeks.
Would love to know when your Dr. says you can get back to physical activity. For me, the key is not to start back too early and then set the clock back another 8 weeks.
