First time Ironman Questions

1. It depends on your race, but usually about halfway through.
2. Same as No. 1.
3. Yes, each T bag is different. You will recieve at packet pick up several bags in different colors and labels (bike gear, Bike SN, run gear, run SN).
4. Usually, there will be water first and powerade second, or vice versa. Yell WATER! or POWERADE! and point to a volunteer. Slow down and grab.

The organizers at IMKY do a great job making sure everyone understands the logistics of the race. Instructions in the packet are very clear. When you check in your bike, a volunteer will escort you around the transition area, and go over all the bags, how things are organized, and how transition will work. They'll take you into the changing tents so you know how everything is set up, and answer questions you have about aid stations or any other part of the race. I'd guess that they spend about 5-10 minutes with each racer. At IMKY, the bike SN bags are on the the loop outside of La Grange, so you can actually access it twice. I think the same is true with the run bags.
