Well I was doing well 5 years ago on the tri courses, lost alot of weight and had tons of energy. Then I crashed on my bike very bad and gave it all up. Several years later, after our purchase of our 1st house, and just had our first child Im ready to get back into it.
Got a bike coming in on Friday, a Specialized CrossTrail. Figured it would suit be better because of my build and riding styles....Its not like Im going to win a race or anything.
Today was my first workout,,rode for 8 miles and ran for 3. Im outta shape, but I know that when I stick to it I will get much better.

How does it feel to be back on the bike?  I did the same thing.  I did tri's for several years, had a back cycling accident, then didn't get back on the bike for 7 years.  It was hard at first.  I would flinch at evey bump in the road, and couldn't keep of the brakes at fast speeds (especially going dwonhill).  It's great now and I am back at it full speed.  Welcome to BT and to the insanity.
