Is it harder to get a good fit on a Tri/TT bike than a regular road bike (in non-aero config, just regular)?

There are definitely more limitations to consider in a TT/tri fit than a roadie. Flexibility in the shoulders and hips can have a big impact on just how "aero" you can get, where these aren't nearly as stringent in a road fit.

I wouldn't say that it's harder to get a good fit, just different.

On either, you need to understand the distances, types to terrain, etc. in addition to flexibility, measurements and current/previous injuries/problems.

I guess it's harder to find a fitter that's used to tri bikes and what demands triathlons/duathlons would have on the fitting... so from that perspective, maybe harder...

In my opinion, proper fit for tri bikes are more crucial, since your posture is more static than on a road bike.  in the road bike there are more hand positions and you also tend to get off the saddle more frequently.

Well... that all depends where you are living... I frequently ride in Florida and since it's so flat, you hardly ever change position and standing up is a waste of time...

NH on the hand.. I tend to stand up quite often....

I really don't think that the static position of a tri bike plays much of a role.
