Subject: Hello Tri-World
A buddy of mine said I should join up here, since there are a lot of cool folks on here around the Triangle.  I'm 32 years old, feeling older every day with Tri training, but did my first super-sprint and sprint in fall '09.  Obviously I'm pretty new to this, but enjoy every minute that I'm not injured.  I've done another sprint this year and have a few more on tap as I work up to an Olympic.  I live in Apex, so I'm usually game for a group ride in the area or an ows in Jordan.  I work out at LifeTime in Cary when it is too hot outside or to just change it up.

I'm basically always trying to gain advice and knowledge from others in the sport and look forward to conversing with you guys who have the same sickness which puts our bodies through hell for no good reason.

Are you going to do the Tri the Quay?  It's right in your area.

I will if I get some wheels in time.  I cracked a rim on a group ride the other weekend, and have some being made.  I was told Friday, and if so I'll go ahead and register.  My next registered event is the Wilmington Tri in late September.

Too bad your small rims don't fit on my bike.  I got the fedex tracking number tonight, so things are looking up.

I'll be at Wilmington!  Love that race!!!!  Bring some warm ups for pre race if the weather turns cool, we have to wait around outside after taking the shuttles over for quite a while.  Last year it was fine, the year before I was freezing with just a jacket.
