Anyone here from Cooperstown NY? I'll be up there for a few weeks and am curious about cycling routes. I'll be staying right near the Hall of Fame at the Ottesaga Resort.

I'm preparing for Syracuse 70.3 and can't afford to miss any workouts. I figure running should be easy enough and I'll have access to a pool and a lake.

Any help would be appreciated.

My son goes to college near Cooperstown, and from what i can tell when i drive him up there you should have no problems finding a route, most of the routes i take there are pretty wide and not too busy, i think route 23 is one of the roads we take there not sure if it goes thru Cooperstown , hopefully someone from there will answer better but it definetely should not be a problem for you to find a good one, Good Luck !!!

any road should be fine, just watch out for cows....remember that one trip around the doubleday bases is .1 km.....

yea you shouldn't have a problem finding a bike route, and the roads will likely not be crowded...watch out for the occasional 18-wheeler.
Head over to 'big city' Oneonta...aka the city of hills, should be good for some riding on rt 23
