anyone interested in doing a relay at the white lake half (the half IM part of the fall american TTTin NC)

At this point would love a swimmer and a runner (i could do the run but would prefer the bike).

I can cover the entry.

Newbz

I would be interested.
I could have to start a new job in the next few weeks which requires some weekends. I do not know the schedule at the moment. I should find out if I will be starting within the next few days. If you have not found anyone by the time I know, and I am free that weekend, I would be interested.
Are you looking to have a competitive team and looking a certain time range for each leg?

I'd run it, I'd just have to confirm the date. If you want to be competitive you should get fgump for the run. I'll leave him an inspire with a link to this thread.

That would certainly be fun.  I'd be in the 1:25-1:27 HM range on that course.  But dibs go to qrkid and DMarkSwan, keep me in mind if they don't work out.

If you want a first out of the water swimmer, let me know.  I can float it by my friend who was a collegiate swimmer at UNCW (and is aquatics director at Ravenscroft in Raleigh).

Don't listen to him, he's too nice. You're really fast and deserve the fastest teammates you can get. My 2:00 to 2:30 half marathon time disqualifies me for that with no hard feelings.  Cool qrkid and fgump are both great choices!

Funny, no volunteers for swimming yet....

I could offer to swim, but I think that would defeat the purpose of a relay team. David would have to swim in to save me and drag me back to shore, thus making him do the swim and the bike legs.

hey David, I posted in the pa forum a reply. check it out, I may be reading the wrong event info. but 4 races in one weekend would be pretty sweet and you have to finish as a team for the olympic and HIM (each inidividual on the two man team must complete each event)

hey i read the post in the PA forum.

If we did the white lake half it would just be the HIM (you can do the half IM as just the half at both TTTs, i did just the half at the ohio race this spring).

I've done TTT twice and really am not sure i am ready/willing to do that again.

Although if i found a partner i matched up well with (either guy or girl) i'd give that a shot again.

I would probably be interested in doing the TTT with someone if they would be up for it. Looks pretty intense

What is the apprehension?  Swimming with cramps after a little bike ride on a Saturday afternoon or doing a 1/2 IM with a challenging day of 2 olys already in in the legs? Smile

the 2nd loop of the bike course in shawnee.
that is the single reason i am scared to do the ohio one again.

I raced just the laf this year, and thought hmm maybe this course will be easier asjust a half.

LIES!

It was just as bad, i was just going faster (well a bit).

If i can find a teamate that works though i'd do the white lake one this fall.
