Subject: Great Floridian Triathlon Oct 23 - Hotel suggestions needed

I'm familiar with the Clermont area but not sure of where to stay?  Preferrably as close as possible to the race sight, not a run down, side of the road shack type of motel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I booked at Holiday inn express which was pretty close to the action and start.  Maybe a mile or 2 at most.

Hampton Inn is a nice hotel. Next to Pannera Bread and Carraba's.  About 10 mins to the lakefront.  It is on Hwy 50 in
Clermont.

The Holiday Inn Express and the Fairfield Inn are our host hotels for the race and offer discounted rates for the participants. Just ask for the "Sommer Sports" rate when making a reservation.

They are creating direct reservation links for us so athletes can book online at the special rate. As soon as I receive them (hopefully by the weekend) I will update the lodging page on greatfloridian.com.
