I've emailed them ,  but no reply and it's been a couple of days.

My Question:  When you enter in some new food item, on the food label, there is always a block for sugars,  like 18g.    But in the fitday.com  It goes from PROTEIN and than ALCOHOL.   But no SUGAR Block.    Why is this or is Sugar not necessary to log in?

No, the purchased version is the same.

I think the software assumes that carbohydrates that aren't fiber are essentially sugars. It's not an unreasonable assumption as that is how your body ultimately treats non fiber carbs.
