Run
Comments: I still suck at running. It was fun starting the run joking with other folks. I ran into Old Man Al at the start like. Transition 1
Comments: Found my bike fine, helps when you count rows before hand :). I am jsut still slow, and I forgot my dran towel and the grass was wet... What would you do differently?: Bring a towel. Bike
Comments: I am supprised I got 10th in the du overall on the bike :). I had one b--h of a time getting going on the bike. My legs seemed to be stunned, this was a nice mostly flat course, I started the mile or so in the 39 ring :(. However, as I started just past the wood planks over the mud and getting on the bike, I heard some bikes go down behind me. Just like inline speed skating racing and road bike racing, ‘eye front, look to the front’, do not look back. As I kept going, this one 30 something lady in like all sliver kept passing me, and I would end up passing her... This went on about five or six times :). I would look over and boom there she is. Why is it that like every tri/du I do I end up being dogged by someone? But I do always end up dropping them as the bike goes one. No one seems able to jump in turns like I can :). So, dropped her, and kept going. Not much else happened, never saw her again :( Transition 2
Comments: I am showing some progress in the T2, less then three minutes this time! What would you do differently?: I should ge some speed laces. Run
Comments: Ok, 42 out of 56 in the du run... I am slow :). I ended up walking a number of time, 4 or 5, on this run. I just could not seem to find my pace. I would run with some folks then get dropped, this went on and on. Also, by this time it was getting hot out. What would you do differently?: I need to run more. Post race
Warm down: Kind of just fast walked around for a while. I did get a massage, nice. What limited your ability to perform faster: Low on the foot training. Event comments: Nothing supper, a good standard event. Last updated: 2005-07-22 12:00 AM

Well after one crazy week this week, I figure I getter put this all down before it fades with time.
Pre-race, well I got up at 5:00am (this is too early), drove to the race site, did not become confused, got there just a bit after 7:00.
Got ready, changed, put my bike in a great spot in transition, right near the run out, and this time not near a bike that looks like mine. But I think I still need to put a balloon on my spot or something to make it easier for me to find it.
Warmup run about 1/4 of the firt 2.4 miles for the du.
