Comments: This was an untimed, unofficial race for fundraising. I was really happy to come in 2nd, and I was the first female finisher. There were only 29 people, and most of them probably weren't being competitive, but I was! The water was sooooo cold, but once I started, I was ok. Nav was hard, as there was some current and boat waves near the beach. I kept drifting off to one side. I was going pretty hard and was really breathing hard. And, Grand Lake is a little creepyNext year, first place!! What would you do differently?: Navigate better. Start near the front of the pack (unofficial race so we were just kind of hanging out in the water and the lady said "GO!".) so I can start faster. Post race
Warm down: not much What limited your ability to perform faster: inexperience with OW swimming Last updated: 2010-09-10 12:00 AM
