Subject: Orthodics or Gel Soles in Bike Shoes? I just completed a sprint triathlon today in Long Branch NJ. I put on socks (thin running socks ) at T1. They made my bike shoes a little loose and I noticed some serious arch pain during the bike and more so on the run after T2. I've noticed this issue when just going out for rides before. If I have a thin sock I don't get as much power...foot is a little too loose in the shoe (even when it's tightened the most ). So, should I put some Dr. Scholls gel orthodics in my bike shoes to tighten them up? Anyone else do this or have a similar issue? FYI, very proud of myself...shaved 9 minutes off my last race time! |
