I am already having OLN withdrawls. The Vuelta a Espana begins August 27th. I realize that the Tour day France just concluded, but I'm already excited about the Vuelta and how the Pro Tour will be post Lance.

Any early predictions?

I wish someone would cover the other races like the Vuelta and the Giro.  I could really be a huge cycling fan if I could get the information needed to become informed. Anyone got favorite websites they use to track teams and individuals?

I predict that without Lance, nobody will care...even OLN. I for one would love to watch cycling on TV. Last year's Giro was one of the best races I have watched, but unless there is an American winner soon, we will have to get our cycling fix from the internet

...Simoni

Do you know what teams are in the Vuelta? I tried looking it up but only found last years info

Wait. You mean there are other races than just the TdF?!

No predictions on my part because I don't know enough about the Vuelta or who it might favor. Don't know enough about the cyclists either, though I'm working on learning via velonews.com and cyclingnews.com. Like Hawkeye (and probably many others), I could be a reasonable cycling fan if I had more coverage. I do find myself DVRing Cyclysm on Sundays when it's on, so I guess that's a start. You'd think if OLN can have coverage on a frickin BBQ showdown, they might be able to do a couple other cycling tours, no?!

Wouldn't it be nice if we could get all three big races on OLN, the Giro d'Italia, the Tour de France and the Vuelta d'Espana!!!!! I am a huge cycling fan, have been for as long as I can remember. It's one of the few sports that I will actually watch on tv, including triathlons, Kona of course, and ladies' tennis! I don't think that OLN will drop the TdF now that Lance is retired either After all, there are still quite a few great American cyclists left on the circuit. That should make it still quite interesting for US viewers.

Now ... if only we could get a Canadian rider in there ....

Canadians ride bikes?  I thought you all had snowmobiles or dog sleds...

The problem is OLN used to show all 3 big races, now they only show Le Tour. Last season they showed some American one day races and that lasted about 3 weeks. I don't think they can convince the Rodeo, BBQ cookoff and fishing show fans to give up watching their shows just to watch another 6 weeks of cycling.

that stinks, i really got hooked on watching cycling on a daily basis and would love to have sme way to continue to watching it throughout the season. just seems odd that with all of the pathetic TV channels that are out there showing things noone cares about, we cant get more cycling, swimmming(yes i actually like swimming, i know its a rather boring sport to watch in general but i enjoy it ) and triathlons on TV.

we need the espn the OCHO
