Subject: arthroscopic swelling time frames
Been two weeks and there's still swelling  where the incisions were. How long does it takes before the swelling goes down? Is there anyone that has a permanent swelling around the incision?

Surgeon says, "it'll take time."

Okay?????

Your surgeon is right--may take a month or two, may be permanant. The average lies somewhere in the middle ;-)

Keep icing, do the appropriate PT, and pay attention to your pain levels, and it should all work out fine.
