Subject: RE: Garmin 205.... battery questions Just a quick thought: check out the contacts on the back of the garmin and those that are the base. If they look sort of dirty clean them using a pencil eraser to ensure that good contact is being bad. In addition, the contacts on the base should be "springy" meaning they stick up and go down when you put your finger on them. A new base can be had if needed. Assuming that the garmin is legitimately charging (it should say Charging Complete ) and it's not holding a charge then I would look into having the battery replaced. I would only let garmin do it since the unit is sealed against sweat and stuff. You can give them a call and ask them how much. They are really good.
